It has been a couple of months. So, time for a brief new update!

Quake III ... in 4K!

I have used Quake III Movie Maker's Edition for many years now and within many of my Quake III machinima projects. While I knew it was possible to render footage with this mod on 2K or 4K resolutions or even beyond that, I never managed to get it to work for some odd reason. This is why 1080p remained the golden standard for me for a long time in terms of Quake machinima. Fortunately, I'm happy to share that I finally managed to get it to work, which means that if everything goes according to plan, IGNIIITION Instagib will be released in 4K DCI resolution. At least, on YouTube that is. It does not count for other games at this moment, but it's a great start for future work.

 

IGNIIITION @ Ever Art Contemporary Art Weekend (Moscow, Russia)

IGNIIITION is currently part of the exhibition 'Game Junction' at Khodynka Gallery in Moscow. During July 1st and August 22nd of this year, you will be able to see IGNIIITION in the wild, alongside a lot of work made by fellow machinimators and videogame artists. If you are in the area, make sure to stop by. Pictures of the exhibition can be found on the Instagram page of the gallery.  More exhibition news!

 A number of my machinima will be exhibited physically and digitally on another videogame art exhibition later this year. Unfortunately, that is all I can say at this moment. I'll post more information once the time is right.

 Project Updates

As you might know, I am currently working on two projects during the remainder of this year. I am still working on a machinima called 'Experience' in collaboration with developer PixelSplit. Although there is no set releasedate as of yet, the film is currently in early post production. The sequel to IGNIIITION, called IGNIIITION Instagib, will start production in late august, early september and is bound for release in november or december of 2021.
